World Textile Information Network (WTiN), a global provider of textile and apparel industry intelligence, has opened entries for the third edition of its Innovate Textile Awards. The programme continues to position itself as a leading benchmark for recognising industrial innovation across the global textile value chain.

Now in its third year, the awards have evolved from a conventional competition into a recognised industry validation platform. WTiN reports a steady rise in high-quality submissions from material scientists, technology developers, and supply chain innovators, reflecting accelerating commercial maturity across the sector.

The awards are increasingly viewed as a certification of market readiness, offering third-party validation for innovations seeking adoption at scale. Selected entries gain visibility among WTiN’s global audience of more than 85,000 industry professionals, including decision-makers, procurement leaders, and investors.

According to WTiN, the growing strength of submissions highlights a shift in the industry from experimental pilots to scalable, commercially viable solutions across materials, manufacturing, and sustainability domains.

Evaluation Categories for 2026

Applications will be assessed across four key innovation areas:

  • Next-Generation Materials: Bio-based fibres, regenerative inputs, and sustainable textile innovations free from harmful chemical dependencies.
  • Industry 4.0 & Automation: AI-led systems, robotics, and digital manufacturing technologies designed to improve efficiency and reduce resource use.
  • Circular Systems & Infrastructure: Recycling technologies, closed-loop production models, and garment-to-garment circular solutions.
  • Functional Performance: Innovations that enhance durability, technical performance, and supply chain transparency.

Winners will receive a recognition package valued at over GBP £8,000, including the right to use the “WTiN Certified Innovator” seal, targeted digital exposure, and editorial features across WTiN’s global platforms and podcast network.

The submission process requires applicants to demonstrate commercial scalability, validated performance data, and measurable environmental impact. A standard entry fee of £250 applies, though it is waived for WTiN members.

Applications are open until 26 October 2026, and submissions can be made through the official portal: innovateawards.wtin.com
