In a heartwarming initiative, Wishes and Blessings, an NGO dedicated to make a difference in the lives of underserved communities, concluded a skill development program for children at their Saahas Centre on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Recognizing the importance of both tradition and skill development, Wishes and Blessings organized a unique workshop that not only aimed to revive traditions but also empower young minds while championing the cause of zero waste. This innovative initiative sought to marry tradition with sustainability.

The highlight of this initiative was the training provided to 50 children above the age of 14, equipping them with the skills to craft beautiful Rakhis using leftover tailoring materials from the Skill Development Programme – SAHAS. This not only honed their creative abilities but also promoted the vital concept of zero waste.

Dr. Geetanjali Chopra, Founder and President of Wishes and Blessings, expressed her delight at the success of the initiative. She said, “Our organisation firmly believes in nurturing the talents of underprivileged children while also advocating for a sustainable future. This initiative perfectly encapsulated our mission, combining tradition, skill development, and environmental consciousness. We are proud of what these young minds have achieved.”

Wishes and Blessings extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the supporters and partners who made this initiative possible. Through such collaborative efforts, the organisation continues to bring about positive change in the lives of those in need.
