WHP Global, a company based in New York, recently made some big moves to grow its business. One of their major steps was buying G-Star RAW, a popular clothing brand from the Netherlands. This purchase is part of their plan to expand their reach into Europe, and they’re even setting up a new office in Amsterdam. Even though WHP Global now owns most of G-Star RAW, the original owners still have a small part of the company. The leaders of G-Star RAW will keep running things from their base in Amsterdam, led by CEO Rob Schilder.
This acquisition is a significant achievement for WHP Global, adding to their collection of over ten brands that together make more than $7 billion in sales worldwide. But that’s not all they’ve been up to lately. They’ve also joined forces with Fashioncenter, a part of the Schmidt Group in Germany, to boost another brand they own called Lotto. Fashioncenter, which handles the Kappa brand, will now take care of Lotto’s lifestyle products like shoes and casual clothes in Germany and Poland. They’re teaming up with Lotto Sport Italia to create a new line called “Lotto Life’s,” which mixes sports and everyday wear. This move aims to give stores more variety and help WHP Global make even more money.
