Whoop, a wearable fitness and health technology business, will formally join the Indian market through a partnership with e-commerce behemoth Flipkart.
Whoop wearables will be available in India during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, priced at Rs 29,990 ($350) for a 12-month subscription.
In a statement, Jagjeet Harode, vice president of electronics at Flipkart, stated, “This collaboration reinforces Flipkart’s commitment to making premium technology accessible across India, from major metros to tier-2 cities, empowering every consumer to optimize their health journey.”
Radha Bennett, Whoop’s vice president of business development, commented, “With a population of 1.4 billion, India’s dynamic and fast-growing fitness community provides a great opportunity for Whoop to make a real contribution. We are delighted to collaborate with Flipkart to deliver our world-class wearable technology to a new audience, allowing members to track and improve their health using the most precise data available.”
The Boston-based Whoop devices can be worn smartwatch-style with the Whoop Band or integrated into clothing with the Whoop Body line.
