Bombay Times Fashion Week: Whistling Woods Students Dazzle with Bold Collections
6th October 2025, Mumbai: At Bombay Times Fashion Week 2025, students from Whistling Woods International’s School of Fashion & Costume Design (SFCD) stole the spotlight. They presented bold, story-driven collections that captured audience attention and redefined creative fashion expression.
Semester 3 and 5 Students Shine at Bombay Times Fashion Week
Semester 3 students showcased conceptual designs rooted in storytelling and symbolism. Meanwhile, Semester 5 students explored identity, transformation, and cultural narratives through experimental silhouettes and textures. Their collections highlighted the versatility and vision of WWI’s young designers.
One standout design paid tribute to Mumbai’s layered soul, with rain-inspired drapes shimmering like agate crystals. Another reflected the clash between primal energy and architectural precision through commanding silhouettes and tactile surfaces.
Runway Highlights and Showstoppers at Bombay Times Fashion Week
The runway opened with actor and alumna Rajshri Deshpande in an ethereal tulle-layered gown inspired by the student fashion film A Room of Remembering. She was joined by Sakshi from the Nabhangan Foundation, supporting rural sustainability and women’s empowerment.
The finale featured actor and content creator Rehaan Roy as showstopper in a silk brocade jacket blending traditional motifs with modern sculptural tailoring.

Meghna Ghai Puri, President of WWI, said:
“Our students showcased vision, not just design. With guidance and freedom, young talent creates fashion that transcends boundaries.”
