New generation of models who represent the contemporary ideal of beauty are to be found, encouraged, and supported through the introduction of Open Casting, which Vogue announced today. Those who identifies as feminine and are at least 18 years old can access the Open Casting Portal on Vogue.com from April 24 to May 8. There, they will be able to upload photos and a brief video as well as respond to a personality quiz and provide information about themselves.

There is no entry fee, no requirement that applicants will be signed to an agency, and they may apply from anywhere in the world.A panel of Vogue editors, stylists, and casting directors will choose the finalists in June, along with other business leaders like Eva Chen, Instagram’s director of fashion partnerships, model Paloma Elsesser, Piergiorgio del Moro, and Samuel Ellis Scheinman, casting directors and co-founders of the influential agency DM Casting.

Casting, according to del Moro and Scheinman, is the ambition of “finding faces to represent modernity and the now in ever-evolving society.” We are proud to have signed up for Vogue’s Open Casting, a groundbreaking model search, and we cannot wait to meet the faces of tomorrow.

In addition to having the chance to be featured in a photoshoot that will appear in a fall issue of international editions of Vogue, that group will become the Vogue Open Casting Class of 2023 and will continue to receive mentorship and assistance. Following the success of Vogue China’s Open Casting, the project was launched. Since then, Fan, the winner, has been on the runways of other brands, including Prada, Simone Rocha, and Burberry.

According to a press release from Anna Wintour, chief content officer of Condé Nast and global editorial director of Vogue, “Some of Vogue’s favorite models were discovered in the most surprising of ways: Kate Moss at JFK airport, Naomi Campbell window-shopping in Covent Garden.” “Open Casting is a program that will develop the next wave of Vogue talent, paying special emphasis to the need for more inclusive and diverse representation in the fashion industry. We’re eager to meet them.
