The fashion industry’s best work is on full display at Paris Haute Couture Week with a number of attention-grabbing and astounding new designs. Victor & Rolf, a Dutch design label, upped the ante by having models walk down the catwalk in topsy-turvy, inverted, and similar-looking costumes.
The collection, which was created by designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, began with a few pastel tulle dresses. The models started walking on with all kinds of weirdly positioned gowns as the night went on, and the outfits started getting more outrageous.
One model walked while wearing a dress that was completely upside down, while another had the bodice and bottom of the skirt protruding from opposite sides of the body.
“Today we presented ‘Late Stage Capitalism Waltz,’ our new Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 collection. The designers described the collection on Instagram as “floating dresses, evoking an abstract feeling of surrealism, are piled on structurally carved corsets.
“Are you wearing the dress? Or is the dress wearing you?” One user tweeted a series of images from the show along with the caption, “Fun fashion at Victor & Rolf in Paris.”
