Vietnam’s textile and garment industry remains a key driver of national economic growth, with exports projected to reach USD 46 billion in 2025, reflecting a 5.6% rise over 2024. Against this backdrop, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) 2026, scheduled from 26 to 28 February, is set to further support industry advancement by promoting digital transformation and sustainability across the textile value chain.

The third edition of VIATT will respond to growing demand for advanced technologies and sustainable materials with the debut of the German Pavilion, alongside strong participation from major Asian textile hubs and a series of high-profile fringe events.

This year’s fair will feature seven country and regional pavilions and zones representing China, Germany, Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan and Türkiye. Exhibitors will span VIATT’s three core sectors: Apparel Fabrics and Fashion, Home and Contract Textiles, and Technical Textiles and Technologies, covering the full textile supply chain.

The inaugural German Pavilion, organised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in collaboration with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, will anchor the returning European Zone. The zone will also highlight exhibitors from Italy, Switzerland, Türkiye and the UK. German participants will present engineered solutions known for quality, compliance and long-term performance, offering buyers direct access to specialised products across apparel, home textiles and technical applications.

In Apparel Fabrics and Fashion, participating companies include MUEHLMEIER Bodyshaping, Karl Conzelmann and Dalat Worsted Spinning of the Suedwolle Group, each bringing expertise in lingerie components, knitted fabrics and worsted yarns respectively. The Home and Contract Textiles segment will feature Huegin-Trietex, known for sun protection and interior systems, and Paradies, a long-established bedding specialist focused on sustainable sleep solutions. In Technical Textiles and Technologies, exhibitors such as Georg Sahm, IBENA Shanghai Technical Textiles, Lindauer DORNIER and ZSK Stickmaschinen will showcase innovations ranging from winding technology and high-performance materials to advanced weaving and embroidery systems. The pavilion will also be supported by Global Standard and Hohenstein Laboratories, offering expertise in textile certification, testing and quality assurance.

Alongside European participation, VIATT 2026 will continue to attract major exhibitors from across Asia, reinforcing its position as a key platform for diversified sourcing and manufacturing partnerships within ASEAN. The India Pavilion, organised by TEXPROCIL, will return with 21 companies presenting India’s export-ready strengths in cotton textiles. A major highlight will be the promotion of Kasturi Cotton, a national initiative focused on traceability, certification and branding to enhance the global value of Indian cotton.

Beyond the exhibition floor, VIATT 2026 will host a comprehensive fringe programme addressing trends, innovation and market dynamics. Key events include the Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Development Strategy Summit (TGIS 2026), which will examine AI adoption, sustainability, compliance and international brand perspectives on Vietnam, alongside structured networking and matchmaking sessions. Another highlight is the Textile Industry Exchange roundtable, focusing on trade uncertainties in 2026, including tariff developments, EU ecodesign regulations and their impact on Asian supply chains.

VIATT is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE). The fair will take place from 26 to 28 February 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, continuing its role as a strategic meeting point for global textile and apparel stakeholders.
