V-Bazaar has announced plans to significantly expand its workforce over the next four years as the retail company accelerates its store expansion strategy across smaller Indian towns and emerging markets.

The company currently employs around 3,600 people and aims to increase this number to nearly 10,000 employees over the coming years. The hiring drive will primarily focus on Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities, where V-Bazaar continues to strengthen its retail footprint amid consistent consumer demand.

The workforce expansion aligns with the company’s long-term plan to scale its retail network to more than 250 stores. According to the company, every new store is expected to generate approximately 35 to 40 direct employment opportunities, along with indirect jobs through logistics and local service partnerships.

V-Bazaar currently operates in over 100 cities and is actively entering new markets while deepening its presence in existing locations. The company is adopting a cluster-based expansion strategy, opening stores in nearby regions to improve operational efficiency and strengthen supply chain management.

Recruitment is underway across multiple levels, including in-store staff, cluster management, and regional operations. The company is prioritising local hiring to support employment generation within the communities where it operates.

Alongside recruitment, V-Bazaar is investing in employee training programmes focused on store operations, merchandising, and customer service to ensure consistency across its growing retail network. The retailer is also enhancing HR processes and strengthening compliance systems related to PF, ESI, and other employee requirements.

“Our focus is on building strong teams on the ground as we expand into newer markets,” said Hemant Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director. “As we add more stores in smaller towns, we are creating opportunities for local talent and investing in training so teams are ready from the start. The company is hiring management trainees from renowned management and fashion institutes. The idea is to grow in a steady and structured way.”
