Global Polo Entertainment (GPE), the entertainment arm of USPA Global, has extended its groundbreaking partnership with ESPN through 2026, continuing the momentum of bringing polo to mainstream sports audiences. USPA Global manages U.S. Polo Assn., the official multi-billion-dollar brand of the United States Polo Association.

A major highlight of the 2025 season includes ESPN veteran Chris Fowler hosting the prestigious U.S. Open Polo Championship® on April 20, expected to draw the largest crowd in North American polo history. Fowler brings decades of top-tier sports broadcasting experience, known for college football, tennis Grand Slams, and hosting SportsCenter and College GameDay.

ESPN’s coverage will include the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship®, Gauntlet of Polo®, collegiate championships, and select international matches, with distribution across ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN.com, and the ESPN App.

In addition to live matches, GPE will produce a new season of the award-winning show “Breakaway: Presented by U.S. Polo Assn.”, offering behind-the-scenes stories and insights. Episodes will highlight women in polo, college players, and global scenes like England and the Palm Beaches, airing internationally via StarSports, beIN Sports, and Times of India.

J. Michael Prince, CEO of USPA Global, celebrated the expansion, noting that ESPN’s platform has helped usher in a new generation of polo fans. “The addition of Chris Fowler elevates our global broadcast efforts, reinforcing polo’s tradition and elite appeal,” he said.

Stewart Armstrong, Chairman of the USPA, added, “We’re thrilled by ESPN’s long-term commitment and look forward to an exhilarating season at the renovated USPA National Polo Center in Wellington.”
