Global apparel retailer UNIQLO marked its entry into South India with the opening of its first store in Bengaluru at Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway. The launch was celebrated with cricket legend and local icon Rahul Dravid, who joined UNIQLO India executives and Brigade Group representatives for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, drawing enthusiastic crowds.
Spanning 9,012 sq. ft., the new store introduces UNIQLO’s signature LifeWear philosophy to Bengaluru, offering functional, high-quality clothing designed to enhance daily life. This marks UNIQLO’s 17th store in India and its debut in South India.
Kenji Inoue, CFO & COO of UNIQLO India, highlighted the significance of this milestone, expressing excitement over the warm reception from Bengaluru customers. Rahul Dravid shared his admiration for UNIQLO’s timeless style and functionality, calling the launch in his hometown a special moment.
Ahead of the store opening, early customers received exclusive offers and a limited-edition tote bag designed by a local artist with purchases over ₹6,000. Nirupa Shankar, Joint Managing Director of Brigade Group, said UNIQLO’s addition strengthens Orion Mall’s reputation as a global fashion destination.
The Bengaluru store showcases UNIQLO’s complete range across men’s, women’s, kids’, and baby categories, including the Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Customers can explore wardrobe essentials featuring HEATTECH, PUFFTECH, and AIRism technologies, as well as premium fabrics like denim, fleece, and cashmere.
