Today, 11 companies—including Boden, Nobis, Native Shoes, Bobo Choses, Finisterre, SMCP, and moodytiger—have pledged to remove Ancient and Endangered Forests from their textile and paper packaging supply chains. These brands have partnered with Canopy’s CanopyStyle and Pack4Good initiatives, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to climate conservation and biodiversity protection.

Joining them are Next Gen innovators Circulose, Palouse Fiber Packaging, and Medoola, pioneers in sustainable packaging and textiles, transforming waste materials like clothing scraps, wheat straw, and food waste into viable alternatives. Paper packaging manufacturer Checkpoint Systems also joins this mission.

Under these initiatives, all participating companies will transition to low-impact, low-carbon, and circular alternatives, such as recycled textiles and agricultural residues, to minimize their environmental footprint. By restructuring their supply chains, these brands are pushing for systemic change in fashion and packaging industries.

With these new commitments, the CanopyStyle initiative now boasts 578 brands, representing a combined annual revenue of $1.646 trillion, while Pack4Good has grown to 466 brands, valued at over $341.4 billion.

The announcement comes as demand for man-made cellulosic fibers (MMCF) and paper packaging surges, with over 3.4 billion trees cut down each year for these materials. Scaling Next Gen solutions helps businesses build resilient, sustainable supply chains while reducing pressure on the planet’s forests—one of the fastest, most effective strategies for tackling climate change and preserving global biodiversity.

Helen Webb-Carter, Head of Fabric at Boden, stated:
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Canopy to eliminate sourcing from Ancient and Endangered Forests. These forests play a crucial role in our environment, and our customers recognize the importance of protecting them.”

Nicole Rycroft, Executive Director of Canopy, added:
“We welcome these brands into CanopyStyle and Pack4Good. Their commitment to circularity and responsible sourcing is an essential step in preserving forests, protecting wildlife, and reducing carbon emissions.”

By partnering with Canopy, these brands join a growing movement of over 1,000 companies worldwide, dedicated to driving innovation and sustainability at scale—ensuring that fashion and packaging industries become a part of the solution to the climate and biodiversity crises.
