Hyderabad, July 18, 2024: India’s first health tech company, Traya, has revealed the startling results of a comprehensive research involving 2.8 lakh women nationwide. Traya treats hair loss internally. According to the poll, 71.19% of Indian women report having medium-to-advanced broadening or female pattern hair loss, underscoring the importance of hair loss as a worry that is age-neutral. The survey found that more than half of women between the ages of 36 and 40 are already experiencing medium-to advanced stages of hair loss. There is an immediate need for increased awareness and early management because the main underlying causes are stress, low energy, and hormone problems.
The study revealed that poor energy and stress are common among Indian women. The most shocking finding was that moderate to severe stress affects 88.6% of women who have hair loss. The high stress levels of modern life exacerbate the problem of hair loss, which is significantly influenced by stress and anxiety. The study also discovered a link between bad sleep habits and hair loss, finding that 48.14% of women who experience hair loss also had poor sleep patterns.
Dandruff were out to be a significant factor in hair loss in women, which is consistent with the results of Traya’s survey on male hair loss.In order to effectively prevent hair loss, it is imperative to manage dandruff, as over 70% of women attribute their hair loss to it, with 22% experiencing severe cases. Moreover, poor energy levels were observed by 90% of the 2.8 lakh women who took part in the Traya study, highlighting the critical need to combat hair loss from inside. Also, among young women between the ages of 18 and 25, PCOS has been found to be a growing cause of hair loss.
Speaking on the findings, Saloni Anand, Co-Founder of Traya, stated, Because hair loss is primarily seen as a male problem, many women choose to ignore it or find it awkward to talk about it. Nonetheless, women are becoming increasingly concerned about it, necessitating a thorough and efficient response. Our research intends to assist women in comprehending and successfully addressing the different reasons of hair loss. For women, the situation is more complicated because poor hair volume and damaged hair strands also present serious issues. Additionally, psychological effects including anxiety and low self-esteem have been connected to hair loss.
“Many women experience early hair loss in today’s fast-paced world, but instead of treating the underlying causes, they resort to quick fixes that provide temporary solutions,” the speaker continues. This simply exacerbates the issue and makes it more difficult to resolve. At Traya, we support addressing the root causes of hair health problems in a comprehensive manner. Our intention is to direct women away from short-term fixes and toward long-term outcomes by educating them about the value of prompt and thorough treatment.
Overall, the study shows that there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all treatment plan, and that instead, a customized and comprehensive strategy is required. Traya is still a proponent of all-encompassing approaches to treating hair loss, emphasizing raising awareness and promoting prompt action.
