Some of the top UK fashion and beauty brands have embarked on a first-of-its-kind trade mission to India to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for high-end products in the country against the backdrop of the bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations.

A delegation including British success stories such as Lush and luxury knitwear brand John Smedley will travel to India Fashion Forum 2023, the nation’s leading international trade fair, in an effort to boost UK exports to India.

This mission comes as a part of the UK government’s efforts to strengthen bilateral trade relations with India. The trade mission will take place at India Fashion Forum 2023, where UK brands will showcase their latest collections and network with potential buyers and suppliers from India and other countries. India’s booming fashion industry and rapidly growing middle class offer significant opportunities for UK fashion brands to expand their market presence and increase their sales in the region.
