Tommy Hilfiger, a major fashion brand from New York, is set to make a splash at New York Fashion Week with its Fall Winter 2024 collection, titled ‘A New York Moment.’ Scheduled for February 9 at 8 PM, the show will take place at one of the city’s long-standing institutions, showcasing both women’s and men’s collections with a focus on the wholesale market.

This move represents a change from the global see-now-buy-now shows the brand has been hosting, aiming for a more targeted audience. While Tommy Hilfiger acknowledges a shift in approach, the brand assures that fashion shows won’t completely abandon their previous style. Speaking exclusively to FashionNetwork.com, Tommy Hilfiger explained that they are shifting gears but maintaining a 24/7 see-now-buy-now ecosystem around tommy.com.

In an email, Hilfiger emphasized the importance of immediacy in the digital age, mentioning that future fashion shows will offer immediate delivery on certain items. The brand aims to balance tradition and innovation, adapting to changing consumer expectations and ensuring each brand interaction is meaningful and exciting.

Despite the shift, Tommy Hilfiger hasn’t forgotten its fans. The brand is running a contest for Australians to win a trip for two to New York and attend the NYFW show. The ode to the brand will feature an NYC-inspired red, white, and blue theme, showcasing a modern interpretation of Hilfiger’s classic American cool.

Tommy Hilfiger shared his excitement about the return, stating, “New York City taught me to dream big,” and expressing eagerness to translate that feeling onto the runway with a signature Tommy twist. The collection aims to re-explore the brand’s original preppy roots while redefining the fashion week experience.

New York’s official fashion organization, CFDA, praised Tommy Hilfiger’s return, recognizing him as one of the great American dreamers with a lasting impact on the fashion industry. CEO Steven Kolb stated that Hilfiger’s unique vision has paved the way for many, making it a fitting celebration of American design.
