Tissot Adds Chronograph Functionality to the PRX
Tissot has introduced the PRX Quartz Chronograph, bringing chronograph functionality to one of the Swiss watchmaker’s most recognisable designs.
The new model retains the PRX’s signature integrated silhouette, stainless-steel construction and defined proportions. At the same time, it adds the precision and reliability of a quartz chronograph movement.
The watch features a 41 mm stainless-steel case with shaped pushers that follow the case profile. This helps maintain the streamlined character associated with the PRX collection.
A Structured Dial Design
The vertically brushed dial creates a refined base for the chronograph layout. Meanwhile, circled counters add depth and definition to the display.
A date window sits at 4 o’clock and integrates into the overall dial design. In addition, baton hands and indexes with Super-LumiNova® coating support readability in changing light conditions.
The quartz chronograph movement provides precise timing for the watch’s chronograph functions. The movement also includes a date display and EOL function.
Three Dial Expressions
The PRX Quartz Chronograph comes in three dial executions, each offering a different interpretation of the design.
The silver dial features rose-gold-coloured indexes, creating a warmer appearance. The black dial uses nickelled indexes, which create stronger contrast and give the chronograph counters greater definition.
Meanwhile, the blue dial adds depth through its vertically brushed finish. Its surface creates changing reflections as the watch moves on the wrist.
A New Chapter for the PRX
The PRX Quartz Chronograph adds a new dimension to Tissot’s PRX collection while retaining its established design identity.
Its integrated construction and familiar proportions maintain the character of the PRX. However, the chronograph layout gives the watch a distinct purpose and visual identity.
