Times Square Group Takes Control of Temperley London for Global Expansion

Dubai-based Times Square Group, in collaboration with Luxutte Capital, has successfully secured a controlling stake in the renowned British fashion label, Temperley London, signaling a significant shift in ownership. The strategic move aims to capitalize on the brand’s strength in the UAE while strategically positioning for global expansion.

While retaining creative control, Alice Temperley, the label’s founder, and CEO Luca Donnini will see Ritesh Punjabi, Chief of Times Square, wield considerable influence. Punjabi, recognized as a key figure in luxury retail in the Middle East and internationally, is poised to play a pivotal role in steering the brand through its next phase of growth.

Temperley London, like many in the fashion industry, faced challenges from events such as Brexit and the pandemic, impacting sales dependent on exclusive occasions like parties, red carpets, and weddings—occasions significantly disrupted due to global lockdowns.

The UAE remains a key focus for Temperley, evident through its boutiques in luxury destinations like the Dubai Mall and The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. Expansion plans include a flagship store in London, designed to offer an immersive Temperley London experience.

Alice Temperley expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, unveiling plans to extend the collection into accessories, ready-to-wear, swimwear, and footwear. She anticipates engaging further with the loyal clientele in the GCC and the broader region through this transformative partnership with Times Square Group.

CEO Luca Donnini emphasized the impact of the acquisition on the label’s operations, highlighting the enhanced supply chain management and the invaluable retail experience of Times Square Group in traditional luxury retail.
