TIMELESS: INTRODUCING THE FALL/WINTER 2024 MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION RUNWAY SHOW

Timelessness was the theme of Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2024 runway show, which took place this afternoon at the former Barneys New York store space in Chelsea, New York. 

“One of my hallmarks has always been fashion that stands the test of time,” says Michael Kors. “And when we talk about what’s timeless and what endures—it’s quality, it’s simplicity, it’s sophistication, it’s clothes that make you feel confident and powerful.”

Kors epitomizes timeless style as he mixes the sharp sculptural tailoring and languid dressing of the 1930s with the streamlined luxury of the 1990s and the laid-back casual attitude of today. Playing with the idea of covered and uncovered, Kors pairs lace and bias-cut shapes in satin back to dramatic outerwear. Warm hues of cappuccino and chocolate, crisp tones of midnight and ivory, and dusty makeup shades from shell to blush create a luxurious palette. Sleek pumps, stiletto boots, loafers and oxfords ground the Collection, while capacious totes and shrunken top-handle bags emphasize the season’s proportionate play. The brand’s new chain-handle Manhatta bag offers opulent simplicity for every day. 

A few of Michael’s favorite tracks from Alicia Keys and Bobby Short created a New York-centric soundtrack for the show as models including Amber Valletta, Malgosia, Alek Wek, Caroline Trentini, Irina Shayk, Ugbad Abdi, Guinevere van Seenus, Julia Nobis, Mariacarla Boscono, Liisa Winkler, Paloma Elsesser, Lina Zhang, Devyn Garcia, Chu Wong and more descended the iconic spiral staircase and walked the mirror-lined runway.

Blake Lively, Nina Dobrev, Gabrielle Union-Wade, Brie Larson, Katie Holmes, Rachel Brosnahan, and others were among the A-list front row. 

The live show experience premiered on the brand’s social and digital channels, including MichaelKors-Collection.com, which serves as the hub for all Fall/Winter 2024 Michael Kors Collection content. The programming was also available to the brand’s international audience across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and Threads, as well as on WeChat, Weibo, LINE and Kakao.
