J-Hope, a K-pop icon, makes his debut as the face of Louis Vuitton’s newest campaign today, and, to be honest, it’s about time. In February 2022, the rapper, dancer, and BTS member was hired as a house ambassador. Since then, he has been seen front row at numerous Vuitton events.
J-Hope is shown in a rose pink asymmetrical jacket and matching skirt tossing the style around a stark white studio in a campaign for the brand’s iconic Keepall, a huge weekend bag that mostly does what it says on the tin.
South Korean and K-pop celebrities are gradually dominating the runways, front rows, and advertising campaigns of some of the biggest fashion houses in the world. Just last month, Vuitton made its way to Seoul, where it hired the director of Squid Game to design the backdrop for its most recent cruise show and invited one of the show’s major characters, HoYeon Jung, to walk the runway to kick off the occasion. In addition to Vuitton, BlackPink members have all signed contracts with brands like Chanel, Dior, and Celine.
In other significant Vuitton news, the SS24 men’s season debuted in Florence today, signalling that Pharrell Williams’ debut as the house’s creative director at Paris Fashion Week is rapidly approaching.
