New Delhi, July 24, 2024: The world’s most prestigious Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, in its 19th edition, is returning to the Capital City in 2024 and set to capture the dynamic spirit of Delhi and its people. Global participants will come together to support the event’s revolutionary potential for everyone of us. All of the celebrations on Sunday, October 20 will have a distinct color added by each and every participant, encouraging us to push beyond convention, expectations, and what’s possible. Yesterday’s kickoff ceremony in New Delhi coincided with the announcement. Ancy Sojan Edappilly, the 2022 Asian Games silver medallist in long jump, expressed her support for the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon.

Registrations for the physical and virtual races of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon have commenced at https://vedantadelhihalfmarathon.procam.in/. The World Athletics Gold Label Race, with USD 260,000 in prize money, will feature some of the fastest athletes competing alongside amateurs from across the globe.
In the final two years of its affiliation, Vedanta has supported the #RunForZeroHunger movement. Via the Anil Agarwal Foundation’s social impact programs, it promised to feed a child in need of better nutrition for every kilometre run.
“This year, the entire country comes together to run for a cause, #RunforZeroHunger, at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon,” stated Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson of Hindustan Zinc Ltd. and Non-Executive Director of Vedanta Ltd., who also oversees social impact initiatives under AAF, continuing the association. We will donate one meal for each kilometer run, with a goal of five million meals this year. Together, let’s run to give India a better future free from hunger.”
Vedanta has pledged to feed animals in need in addition to children as part of its ongoing support of #RunForZeroHunger. All beings should have a better future, according to Vedanta, and this is extended through “Meals for All.”

This Finisher Medal honours and celebrates every participant’s hard work and zeal for running. The Finisher’s medal is made from the highest-grade Zinc that comes from Zawar Mines of Udaipur — the world’s largest and oldest mines in the heritage state of Rajasthan. The Zinc is produced by India’s leading Zinc producer – Hindustan Zinc Limited, a Vedanta Group company.
Registration & Race Day Details
Registrations for all physical race categories—Half Marathon, Open 10K, Great Delhi Run (4.5 km), Senior Citizens’ Run (2.5 km), and Champions with Disability Run (2.5 km)—will start on Friday, July 19th, 2024, at 7:00 am Registration will stay open until 11:59 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024, or until all spots are filled, whichever comes first.
