The fashion design honors course at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), which is housed within the Department of Apparel and Textile Science, has resumed for the upcoming academic year. Through the results of their board test, interested applicants who have passed their intermediate (class 12) in any stream may apply for admission to this course.

Following graduation, students can pursue a wide range of careers, including supply chain managers, professors, merchandisers, production supervisors, quality analysts, fashion forecasters, and designers, according to a Punjab Agricultural University press release.

“The creative field of fashion design is where fabric and style come together to produce timeless clothing, accessories, and upholstery. In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, this field is promising in that it gives pupils vocational skills.

The department is credited with a team of qualified faculty and houses state-of-the-art laboratories, providing a congenial atmosphere both for personal and professional growth. The garment, knitwear, and textile businesses in and around Ludhiana have employed numerous successful batches of fashion designers in the past.
