Although Sonakshi Sinha’s style has changed, it still consists of diverse elements. Embracing traditional lehengas, saris, and kurtas, the actor has been showcasing a more heritage-forward flare since the beginning of the Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar press tour in April 2024. Her black Lajjoo C set proves that she can pull off traditional attire while yet adding the modern twist for which she is renowned.
Sinha donned a sharara outfit that complemented the historical drama show’s 1920s pre-Independence theme during a May appearance for the Netflix series’ advertising. Her outfit, which came from Lajjoo C, had an organza dupatta, flared silk sharara trousers with round buttis, and a short handwoven silk kurta.
The Mumbai-based designer said that the delicate embroidery, which includes pure marodi work and kasab gota embellished on the neckline, hem, and sleeves, flawlessly completes her look. She continues, “Just the embroidery took 65 hours for its competition.” By switching from traditional Indian dress colors to an unusual black tone, Sinha gave the ensemble a distinctive edge.
With summer festivities well underway, all bets are off when it comes to fashion this season. To draw attention, you might abandon your primary and pastel color schemes in favor of the striking effects of monochromatic. A set of black sharara similar to Sinha’s Lajjoo C design? Yes. An Art Deco-inspired black brocade sari similar to her Raw Mango drape? Why not? or a drape skirt combined with a bralette and jacket in black and gold. Since no Sonakshi outfit is complete without statement style, Sinha went all out with elaborate accessories for her most recent Lajjoo C selection. Her choice: Black potli bag from The Pink Potli, embroidered juttis by Azora Fashion, and elaborate earrings from Golden Window jewelry. She also used bold, smokey eyes, natural lips, and a summer-appropriate braided hairdo for her somber makeup look.
