The most recent New York Fashion Week attracted numerous foreign buyers and editors returning for the first time since before the Pandemic, along with the city’s “best dressed.” In a number of the top fashion trends, attendees were pictured outside of various venues. This includes leggy, dressed-up designs that highlighted the little skirt or shorts, as well as the “school girl style” made popular by Miu Miu last season. There were plenty of Y2K-inspired shapes and traditional American sportswear, frequently with an oversized blazer, on exhibit on the streets. Last but not least, some participants praised the body in all of its forms by donning skin-baring attire.
Too cool for school
An enormous brown check blazer over a blue button-down and a wide cummerbund in blue check are both featured at Coach. An animal print silk cravat is also seen there. a white button-down under a black jacket and short pleated skirt with a black Prada tie, crossbody bag, and scarlet and navy over-the-knee socks as accents. A baseball jacket over a deep vee black sweater with striped trim and a short pleated leather skirt, accented with spectator knee high boots, as seen at Studio 189.

Featured at Altuzarra are grey pleated pants and a triangle-patterned knit pullover. As seen at Area: A mesh top is worn over a blazer with broad shoulders that is double-breasted and matched slacks.
