Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris has unveiled Autopsy, its latest trend book for the Autumn-Winter 2027-2028 season, offering an in-depth exploration of the cultural, social, emotional, and aesthetic shifts shaping the future of fashion.

The trend book will be presented during Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, taking place from 31 August to 2 September 2026 at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Center.

Developed under the artistic direction of Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, alongside the Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris Trends Table, Autopsy introduces a new approach to trend forecasting. Moving away from the four broad narrative themes used in previous editions, the publication presents twelve distinct creative signals that map the tensions and transformations influencing contemporary society.

A New Lens on Fashion Forecasting

Designed as both a trend forecasting and creative intelligence tool, Autopsy examines a world navigating technological saturation, shifting social values, environmental awareness, and the search for authenticity.

The trend book explores how fashion responds to evolving relationships with the body, nature, memory, technology, and identity. Through carefully curated materials, colours, textures, and silhouettes, each signal offers a unique perspective on the future of design.

Twelve Signals Defining Autumn-Winter 2027-28

Among the featured themes are:

  • Normskin – examining conformity, algorithm-driven aesthetics, and the standardisation of identities through neutral palettes and structured forms.
  • Florabiote – celebrating biodiversity and organic abundance through botanical textures, floral jacquards, and nature-inspired materials.
  • Decarnation – reflecting on the fading physical presence of the body in hyperconnected societies through weathered surfaces and ghost-like silhouettes.
  • Fusionary – exploring hybridisation across cultures, materials, and creative disciplines.
  • Vitaminoid – embracing exaggerated volumes, vibrant colours, and playful references to digital identities and pop culture.
  • Evinescence and Paleogreen – focusing on memory, environmental transformation, and nature reclaiming human-made spaces.
  • Chlorolirium and Aquamorphosis – inspired by biological systems, vegetation, and fluid aquatic forms.
  • Wondermeil – celebrating colour, optimism, and sensory experiences as tools for renewal.
  • Urbicea – exploring the remnants of industrial civilisation through architectural and brutalist influences.
  • Epiternel – concluding the narrative with themes of humility, permanence, and a return to essentials.

Together, these twelve signals create a comprehensive framework for understanding future consumer attitudes and creative directions.

Immersive Trend Experience at the Show

Visitors to Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris will be able to experience Autopsy through a dedicated installation in Hall 2, featuring curated material selections, colour palettes, and silhouettes inspired by the trend book’s twelve themes.

The trend forecast will also be officially presented by Louis Gérin during a conference on the event’s Agora stage, offering attendees further insights into the emerging directions expected to influence the Autumn-Winter 2027-2028 season.

With its emphasis on cultural observation, emotional intelligence, and design innovation, Autopsy positions itself as a valuable resource for brands, designers, manufacturers, and sourcing professionals preparing for the next chapter of fashion.
