Textiles Manufacturing Expo Launches in Charlotte Alongside Recycling Expo USA
AMI has announced the launch of the Textiles Manufacturing Expo, a new exhibition and conference focused on the technologies, machinery, materials and solutions shaping modern textile, fibre and yarn production.
The inaugural event will take place on 7-8 April 2027 at the Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, alongside the established Textiles Recycling Expo USA. The co-location is designed to bring together stakeholders from across the textile lifecycle, connecting manufacturing with recycling and recovery.
The launch follows the success of AMI’s textile recycling events in Brussels and Charlotte. The inaugural Textiles Recycling Expo USA, held in April 2026, attracted 1,858 visitors, 95 exhibitors and 52 expert speakers over two days.
By adding a dedicated manufacturing exhibition, AMI aims to create a broader platform for textile manufacturers, technology providers, material suppliers, brands, designers, recyclers and other value-chain stakeholders to exchange knowledge and explore new business opportunities.
The Textiles Manufacturing Expo will feature exhibitors across several key areas, including:
- Textile manufacturing, finishing and printing machinery and equipment
- Fibre and yarn suppliers
- Dyes, chemicals and finishing solutions
- Testing, inspection and quality assurance
- Automation, AI and smart manufacturing
- Software and digital technologies
- Consultancy and R&D services
Alongside the exhibition, the event will feature a dedicated conference theatre with keynote presentations, technical sessions and industry case studies focused on manufacturing technologies and emerging applications.
According to AMI Exhibition Sales Manager Chrissy Winegarden, the event will provide a platform for raw material and production technology suppliers to engage directly with textile manufacturers and explore innovations that can advance the industry.
Charlotte was selected as the location due to its strong textile heritage and established manufacturing ecosystem. The region continues to support textile innovation through manufacturers, research institutions and technology providers.
With the addition of Textiles Manufacturing Expo, AMI aims to create a comprehensive industry platform covering the textile value chain from fibre and yarn production through manufacturing, use and recycling.
