Texhibition Istanbul 2026 Highlights Global Textile Sourcing

The 10th edition of Texhibition Istanbul, held from 9 to 11 September 2026 at Istanbul Expo Center, brought together around 500 exhibitors and 15,493 trade professionals across 42,850 sqm. The fair focused on international sourcing, material innovation, technical textiles, sustainability, denim and B2B business connections. Pasted text

The event generated nearly 2,500 bilateral B2B meetings involving more than 300 Turkish companies, while international visitors represented markets across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and North America. European visitors accounted for 51.6% of international attendance. Pasted text

The exhibition also strengthened its international profile through exhibitors from Italy and Japan, while dedicated platforms including the Innovation Hub, SmartTex Hub and ReValue Stock Hub highlighted developments in next-generation materials, technical textiles, upcycling and circular sourcing. Denim remained a significant focus through the Blue Black area, which presented Turkish denim expertise through collections, fabric developments, washes, finishes and more resource-efficient production solutions. Its Western-inspired setting drew on denim’s historical links with workwear and Western culture. Pasted text

For Autumn/Winter 2027–28, the Trend Area presented the theme “Traces of Time – Carrying the Past into the Future”, interpreted through four trend worlds: Earth, Sky, Light and Water. The showcase translated these directions into colours, materials, surfaces and textures using fabrics and accessories from Texhibition exhibitors. Pasted text

The Innovation Hub further explored material development at the intersection of textiles, technology, sustainability and design, featuring hemp, bio-microencapsulation, thermal regulation and innovative fibre combinations. Meanwhile, the debut SmartTex Hub brought together 27 companies and institutions working across functional fabrics, eco-technology, upcycling and advanced materials. Pasted text Pasted text

The ReValue Stock Hub introduced another dimension to sustainable sourcing by connecting surplus textile stocks with potential buyers and applications through digital tools and product identification. Pasted text

The three-day programme was complemented by seminars and panels covering Autumn/Winter 2027–28 trends, chemical compliance, sustainability, Digital Product Passports, technical textiles, artificial intelligence, digitalisation and craftsmanship. Pasted text
