Austrian skincare brand Susanne Kaufmann has appointed Kerry Evans as its new managing director. Formerly a global vice-president at Avon, Evans brings extensive experience from her time at Estée Lauder, where she oversaw the growth of brands like Jo Malone London and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Based in London, Evans is tasked with expanding Susanne Kaufmann’s brand presence and market share.

Susanne Kaufmann, who launched her brand in 2003, aims to combine natural ingredients with advanced components like hyaluronic acid in her skincare range. The brand, owned by investment fund Manzanita Capital, holds a place alongside beauty brands such as Diptyque and Malin+Goetz. Chris Garek, the board chairman at Manzanita Capital, highlighted Evans’ international brand development experience, emphasizing her role in steering Susanne Kaufmann’s continuous expansion and rapid growth.

The skincare brand, founded by Susanne Kaufmann in Austria, initially began as a product line for her spa-hotel. Collaborating with a cosmetics producer and a dermatologist, Kaufmann created a skincare range emphasizing natural ingredients. While the brand did not disclose its revenue results, it has gained recognition in France and is available at beauty retailer Oh My Cream! Kerry Evans steps into her role as managing director following the tenure of Jessica Clark, who now leads Pai Skincare, a British brand associated with the Courtin-Clarins family’s holding company.
