upGrad, Asia’s leading online learning platform, has partnered with the State University of New York (SUNY) Delhi to offer Indian students an affordable and seamless pathway to 64 SUNY campuses, including Cornell University. This initiative through SUNY Global Academy makes studying in Top 100 U.S. universities more accessible for students, particularly from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
For many aspiring students, financial constraints, cultural adaptation, and credit transfer complexities make studying abroad challenging. This partnership provides a transfer-friendly model, allowing students to complete Year 1 credits online with SUNY before transferring to a SUNY campus of their choice.
Students can pursue degrees in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Nursing, Economics, Law, Liberal Arts, and more. The curriculum combines academic rigor with leadership development, featuring Harvard Business Review case studies, mentorship, and career advisory to ensure a smooth transition to the U.S. education system.
“We aim to equip students with academic preparedness and career clarity before they transfer to a SUNY campus, empowering them to make informed decisions for their future,” said Sarah Bjorks, Executive Director, SUNY.
Mayank Kumar, Co-founder of upGrad, emphasized India’s increasing student mobility and the rising demand for world-class education, stating that this initiative will enhance India’s role as a global talent hub.
Enrolments for the first cohort are now open, with details available at: upGrad SUNY Pathway Program
