Strafe Outerwear, known for high-performance mountain gear, has announced the launch of its first down jacket—the Palisade Down Insulator—for Fall/Winter 2025-26. This new piece merges cutting-edge materials with sustainable design, offering both technical performance and environmental responsibility.

Crafted with Pertex® Quantum fabric enhanced by Diamond Fuse technology and NetPlus® recycled nylon made from ocean-bound fishing nets, the Palisade Insulator is built to withstand abrasion while remaining ultra-light and highly packable. The result is a versatile jacket designed to be worn as a mid-layer or a standalone insulator, ideal for alpine athletes and eco-conscious adventurers alike.

At its core is 800-fill power goose down from ALLIED Feather + Down, a supplier certified by both RDS (Responsible Down Standard) and GRS (Global Recycled Standard), ensuring full traceability and ethical sourcing. The down is treated with ExpeDRY™ by FUZE Technologies, using gold particle-based innovation to speed up drying and enhance moisture regulation—key for staying warm in variable mountain conditions.

Strafe also emphasizes its PFAS-free construction, eliminating harmful chemicals traditionally used in water-repellent treatments without compromising performance in wet weather.

“We created the Palisade to be a durable, high-performance insulator that doesn’t compromise on sustainability,” said Pia Halloran, VP of Product & Design. “It’s designed for life in motion—responsibly.”

The Palisade Down Insulator will be available in men’s and women’s sizes online and through select retail partners starting FW 2025-26.
