The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in partnership with Avaana Capital, LetsVenture, KDEM, IVCA, HDFC, and other key stakeholders, has launched Startup Maha Rathi, an initiative under Startup Mahakumbh to support early and growth-stage startups across 11 key sectors.
With applications open until March 8, 2025, this initiative aims to provide startups with funding, mentorship, and global networking opportunities. Selected startups will gain access to a ₹30 crore prize pool, industry guidance, and exposure to investors, reinforcing India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The challenge follows a structured multi-phase process, culminating in a live pitching finale from April 3-5, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Guaranteed ₹1 Lakh for every startup shortlisted for the grand jury round
₹10 Lakh each for top two startups per sector
₹5 Lakh each for the next five startups in each sector
₹3 Lakh each for the next five startups
The competition will be judged by a jury of 100+ top VCs, angel investors, and industry leaders from Startup India, Avaana Capital, LetsVenture, KDEM, IVCA, HDFC, and other renowned organizations.
