Spykar, India’s homegrown denim brand, has unveiled its latest marketing initiative with the launch of the podcast series It’s in Our Jeans/Genes. Released on September 6th, 2025, the series brings together powerful voices from across industries to share their journeys of ambition, resilience, and identity while redefining India’s presence on the global stage.

Staying true to Spykar’s ethos of celebrating youth culture and self-expression, the podcast features conversations with changemakers who seamlessly weave heritage with modernity. Each episode reflects themes of authenticity, ambition, and adaptability, highlighting individuals who embody the spirit of contemporary India.

The debut episode spotlights Sujata and Taniya, co-founders of Suta, a brand that has redefined sarees for the modern generation while empowering over 17,000 artisans across the country. Their story reflects the balance of creativity and business strategy, tradition and innovation, and personal passion with social impact.

Speaking on the launch, Sanjay Vakharia, Co-founder and CEO of Spykar Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd., said: “At Spykar, fashion is about more than denim—it’s about identity and the stories that connect us. Through this podcast, we’re proud to feature the journey of Sujata and Taniya. They have beautifully represented the balance of heritage and modernity, and reflect the ambition of a new India that thinks global while staying true to its roots.”

On their participation, Sujata and Taniya, Co-founders of Suta, shared: “Suta has always been more than a clothing label to us—it’s about making sarees effortless, joyful, and relevant, while supporting the artisans who bring them to life. Being part of Spykar’s podcast feels special because it celebrates the same values we believe in: authenticity, storytelling, and the pride of taking Indian traditions to the world.”

As part of the episode, the Suta sisters also experimented with a playful denim-and-saree styling, symbolizing the podcast’s core idea of blending tradition with modern fashion. This collaboration reflects the shared philosophy of both brands: heritage meets contemporary expression.

With this initiative, Spykar positions itself not only as a leading denim brand but also as a cultural storyteller for the new India—authentic, ambitious, and globally relevant. Future episodes will bring voices from technology, food, music, and start-ups, offering fresh insights and inspiring narratives. Targeted at students, young entrepreneurs, creatives, and denim enthusiasts, the podcast will be available long-term across Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts.
