Skyview by Empyrean has been awarded the 2nd FICCI Award for Excellence in Maintenance Systems for its world-class ropeway connecting Jammu’s Sanget Valley to Patnitop. The recognition honors the company’s outstanding maintenance protocols and technical excellence in ropeway operations.
The award was presented on March 3, 2025, to Mr. Upen Anand, General Manager, Skyview by Empyrean, by Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD of DMRC, during a ceremony at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. The award process included rigorous evaluations, site audits, and expert jury assessments. Skyview impressed with its advanced, internationally certified maintenance systems, ensuring high safety standards and consistent operational efficiency.
Commissioned in 2019, the Skyview Gondola has become a benchmark in India’s tourism infrastructure. The 10-minute aerial journey is supported by global and local partners like POMA, MND Group, and ERIC Ropeways. The project reflects a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation, earning Skyview recognition as a ‘RTSOI Champion’ for Sustainable Tourism.
Owais Altaf Syed, Group Director at FIL Industries, emphasized that this award reinforces Skyview’s leadership in ropeway mobility and sustainable tourism, driven by global best practices and a long-term vision for responsible development.
