Skechers has named cricket star Yastika Bhatia as their new brand ambassador for the ‘Performance’ category in India. Bhatia will appear in media advertisements for the brand’s Performance and Lifestyle lines, as well as wear Skechers cricket footwear, which will be available in India beginning September 30.

“We believe supporting women’s cricket is both important and essential–both as a company that cares about the sport and as one that wants to build its presence in India,” stated Skechers Asia Private Limited CEO Rahul Vira in a news release on September 10. “Yastika Bhatia is the ideal addition to the Skechers roster. Yastika’s association with Skechers reflects our constant dedication to being the leading sportswear brand in India.

As we continue to invest in and promote sports growth in the country, Yastika’s ability, passion, and positive attitude are ideally aligned with Skechers’ continued objective to collaborate with dynamic and inspiring athletes who reflect the spirit of perseverance and greatness. We believe her passion and dedication to the sport reflect our brand’s principles, and together, we hope to push the frontiers of what is possible in sportswear.”

Bhatia joins a broad collection of sportsmen who wear Skechers footwear, including Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri and cricketer Ishan Kishan. As the first female cricket player to participate in Skechers cricket footwear, Bhatia will highlight their performance features and raise brand exposure among new demographics.

“I’m thrilled to be on board with Skechers,” stated Yastika Bhatia. “For the past six months, I’ve been practicing and playing in Skechers Cricket shoes, and the performance and comfort they bring have been fantastic. They are certainly a game changer in terms of footwear. Skechers’ commitment to athletes is admirable, and I’m excited to represent a brand that values innovation in athletics. This cooperation feels like a natural fit, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.
