Sister and Go and Rimple & Harpreet Celebrate Sisterhood This Karwa Chauth

Hosted by Priyanka Khanna and Sonali Kapur, the musical soirée brought together personalities from Bollywood, fashion and culture to celebrate Indian heritage and sisterhood.

Sister and Go, founded by Priyanka Khanna and Sonali Kapur, joined hands with designer duo Rimple & Harpreet for an intimate Karwa Chauth soirée. The evening celebrated Indian heritage, friendship and the special bond between women.

Held at Priyanka Khanna’s residence in Juhu, Mumbai, the event offered a fresh take on the festival. Inspired by a traditional Punjabi home, the gathering brought together music, stories and shared traditions. It also created a warm space for women to connect and celebrate.

A Gathering of Fashion, Film and Culture

The soirée welcomed guests from Mumbai’s entertainment, fashion and cultural circles. These included Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey, Anshula Kapoor, Isha Koppikar, Madhoo Shah, Richa Chadha, Akshat Ranjan, Urfi Javed, Sanjana Arora, Guneet Sethi, Devita Saraf, Ali Baldiwal, Gayatri Chona and Deepshikha Deshmukh, among others.

Beyond the festival’s traditional rituals, the gathering focused on friendship and shared experiences. It also highlighted the role women play in each other’s lives. As a result, the celebration became an opportunity to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories.

Celebrating Indian Craftsmanship and Heritage

Rimple & Harpreet are known for their work on productions such as Padmaavat and Heeramandi, as well as the upcoming Ramayana. Their work highlights Indian textiles, traditional craftsmanship and cultural stories.

For this collaboration, Sister and Go brought these themes into a festive setting. Together, the partners blended traditional Indian design with a modern celebration of womanhood.

Speaking about the collaboration, Priyanka Khanna and Sonali Kapur, founders of Sister and Go, shared:

“Karwa Chauth for us has always been about more than tradition — it’s about the tribe of women who hold us. With Rimple and Harpreet, who have so beautifully preserved the stories of Indian womanhood through their craft, this collaboration felt organic. We wanted to create an evening that feels like home — warm, musical, steeped in nostalgia, and celebrating the timelessness of being a woman, together.”

Music, Mehendi and an Evening of Connection

The evening also featured portrait photography by storyteller Ryan Martin. Meanwhile, renowned Bollywood celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda created intricate mehendi designs for the occasion.

Soulful Sufi melodies added to the festive mood. Guests later enjoyed cocktails, dinner and dancing under the stars. The evening ended with music, conversation and shared moments.

Reimagining Traditions Through Sisterhood

Through Sister and Go, the founders aim to build a community that honours Indian values in a contemporary, conscious and inclusive way.

The Karwa Chauth soirée reflected this vision. It gave women a space to celebrate their friendships, shared histories and cultural roots. Moreover, it placed sisterhood at the heart of a festival rooted in tradition.

Through this collaboration, Sister and Go and Rimple & Harpreet offered a contemporary way to celebrate Karwa Chauth while honouring its cultural significance.
