With 25 designers, 76 outfits displayed on the runway to an electro-pop music, over 300 attendees, including all the leading fashion influencers, it was a classic runway show. The second show by up-and-coming designers from Shein X’s incubator, “Endless Summer,” was presented on Thursday, June 8 when Chinese ultra-fast fashion behemoth Shein took over the ultra-chic Cambon Capucines Pavilion in Paris.

Shein’s marketing campaign in Paris sought to improve the brand’s reputation in an effort to cover up the problem surrounding its unchecked daily output of 8,000 products. The e-tailer, launched in 2008 by Chris Wu, reportedly raised $2 billion in early May, bringing its worth to close to $66 billion. It plans to list on the NYSE in the second half of 2023, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Shein frequently holds events in well-known Parisian spots, such as at the base of the Eiffel Tower or on a barge cruising the Seine during Paris Fashion Week in the autumn of 2017. However, the Chinese company, which caters to mass-market customers looking for the cheapest costs, is now eager to bolster it’s image
