Following India Couture Week, the Fashion Design Council of India conducted its third Couture Hall of Fame event on Thursday evening. To honour their innovation and accomplishments to the Indian fashion industry, seven firms were admitted into the “Couture Hall of Fame.”
“Fashion Design Council of India honoured seven couturiers at the third FDCI Couture Hall of Fame, marking their remarkable journey and recognising their contributions to Indian couture through their unique and revolutionary creations,” the FDCI wrote on Facebook on August 4. As we raised a toast in a celebration of beauty and design, the evening brought the Indian fashion industry together under one roof in exquisite white settings.
Designers Rahul and Divya Mishra were honoured for founding India Couture Week on Wednesday and for recently showcasing Indian couture at Paris Haute Couture Week in France, which helped introduce Indian fashion to a global audience. Title sponsor Hyundai’s COO Tarun Garg and Jaspreet Chandok of Reliance Brands Limited awarded the prize.
Falguni and Shane Peacock, a husband and wife design team, received recognition for their contributions to fashion and for hosting the fashion week’s opening presentation. Amit Aggarwal, Varun Bahl, Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra, and Gaurav Gupta were among the other designers to earn awards at the ceremony.
Geisha Rose created the event’s decor, and Ambika Anand served as the evening’s emcee. Immediately following India Couture Week, which was held in New Delhi from July 25 to August 2 and included 16 designers and businesses showcasing their most recent couture collections on the runway, the event was held.
