Scoot Adds New Routes to Chiang Rai, Okinawa & Tokyo Haneda

Scoot, the low-cost carrier of Singapore Airlines, is strengthening its Asia-Pacific presence with new routes to Chiang Rai in Thailand, and Okinawa and Tokyo (Haneda) in Japan. Services will commence progressively between December 2025 and March 2026, enhancing connectivity for Indian holidaymakers via Singapore.

Flights to Chiang Rai will begin on 1 January 2026 with five weekly services on the Embraer E190-E2, while Okinawa flights will start on 15 December 2025 with three weekly Airbus A320 services. Daily Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights to Tokyo (Haneda) will follow on 1 March 2026.

Fares start at INR 10,500 for Chiang Rai and INR 17,500 for Okinawa and Tokyo (Haneda). With these additions, Scoot will operate 111 weekly flights to Thailand and 45 to Japan, serving 76 destinations across 18 countries.

The airline is also ramping up frequencies to meet peak travel demand: Bangkok flights will rise to 39 weekly, Ipoh to 21, and Chiang Mai to 14 by December 2025. In North Asia, Tokyo (Narita) will increase to 14 weekly services, Sapporo to seven, Taipei to 28, and Jeju to seven by early 2026. Vienna will also see an additional frequency in Europe from March 2026.

CEO Leslie Thng stated, “We are thrilled to expand Scoot’s network in Asia with new routes to Chiang Rai, Okinawa and Tokyo (Haneda), offering our customers even more travel options. The upcoming increase in services will support stronger demand for year-end and new year travel.”
