Santosh Katariya Begins Second Term as CMAI President

Santosh Katariya has been re-elected as President of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) for a second consecutive term.

The association’s core leadership committee has also retained its respective positions. This continuity reflects the confidence of CMAI members in the leadership’s work over the past two years.

The renewed mandate will focus on strengthening the competitiveness of India’s apparel ecosystem. It will also build on CMAI’s existing initiatives and industry engagement.

Following his re-election, Santosh Katariya thanked the association’s office bearers and managing committee for their continued confidence.

He said: “The past two years have been an enriching journey of new initiatives, learning, teamwork and progress. As we begin a new term, I, along with my entire team, look forward to working with renewed energy and commitment to take CMAI to new heights and deliver greater value to our members and the Indian apparel industry.”

CMAI Core Leadership Team Retains Key Roles

Alongside Santosh Katariya, CMAI’s core leadership team has also been re-elected.

The leadership will continue to oversee key areas such as trade initiatives, government engagement, member services and administration.

The team includes:

  • Rohit Munjal, Vice President & Chairman, Fair Sub Committee
  • Ankur Gadia, Vice President & Chairman, Government Subsidy & CSR Sub Committee
  • Naveen Sainani, Hon. Gen. Secretary
  • Mukesh Jain, Hon. Jt. Gen. Secretary
  • Paresh Vora, Hon. Treasurer
  • Dinesh Nandu, Hon. Jt. Treasurer

The administrative team will therefore continue under Naveen Sainani, supported by Mukesh Jain. Meanwhile, Paresh Vora and Dinesh Nandu will continue to oversee the association’s financial functions.

CMAI to Focus on Apparel Industry Competitiveness

The leadership continuity will allow CMAI to continue its ongoing activities without disruption.

At the same time, the association plans to sharpen its focus on the changing needs of India’s apparel industry. MSMEs will remain an important area of attention as the sector works to improve competitiveness and respond to evolving market conditions.

With the core leadership team continuing for another term, CMAI can build on its existing industry initiatives while strengthening engagement with members and stakeholders across India’s apparel ecosystem.
