Sanathan Textiles Showcases Innovation and Scale in Technical Textiles at MATEXIL 2025

Sanathan Textiles participated at Techtextil India 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The company highlighted its expanded manufacturing capabilities, new infrastructure, and a strengthened product portfolio across technical textiles and sports-tech applications.

At the event, Sanathan Textiles showcased a comprehensive range of yarns designed for technical textiles, one of the fastest-growing segments in the industry. The segment continues to record strong expansion. The company offers a wide spectrum of specialized yarns used in construction fabrics, automotive fabrics, luggage materials, safety slings, industrial nets, and other high-performance applications.

Additionally, in the sports-tech category, Sanathan Textiles presented innovative moisture-management and dry-cool yarns. These are increasingly used in sportswear, gym wear, athleisure and performance apparel. Self-stretch yarns and eco-friendly coloured yarns were also introduced, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability and functionality.

Furthermore, during the Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL) forum, Mr. Sammir Dattani, Executive Director, Sanathan Textiles, took part in a GenNext panel discussion on Prospects and Potential for Technical Textiles Exports. The discussion featured emerging leaders focused on global export opportunities, innovation pathways, and the rising demand for advanced textile solutions.

Along with Mr. Dattani, the panel included Mr. Kanav Jhunjhunwala (Sarla Performance Fibers Ltd), Mr. Gautam Dalmia (Strata Geosystems India Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Rahul Bajaj (Khosla Profil Pvt. Ltd.), and Mr. Anish Jiwarajka (Jiwarajka Textile Industries). Together, they shared forward-looking insights for strengthening India’s global position in technical textiles.

Moreover, the discussion emphasised the increasing opportunities in geotextiles, protective wear, mobility solutions, filtration, medical textiles and industrial applications. However, the speakers stressed that unlocking export-led growth will require deeper product innovation, specialization, brand building, and faster adoption of advanced technologies.

Mr. Dattani highlighted the critical role of young leadership. He stated, “India’s technical textiles sector stands at an inflection point. As next-generation leaders, our responsibility is to shape an industry that is globally competitive, innovation-first, and deeply rooted in sustainability.” He added that the future belongs to companies investing in advanced materials, integrated supply chains, and responsible manufacturing practices.

Sustainability remained a central theme throughout the session. Panellists noted rising global demand for recycled, energy-efficient, and performance-enhanced technical textiles. Therefore, they reaffirmed their commitment to a future where scale and environmental accountability move together.

As India sharpens its focus on technical textiles as a high-growth export engine, the insights shared during the GenNext panel illustrate strong readiness and a united vision. Ultimately, the session underscored India’s potential to emerge as a global innovation hub in technical textiles.
