At Friday’s Four Seasons Festive Showcase, Sagarika Ghatge Khan—who is well-known for her parts in movies like Chak De! India and Fox—wore a sari from her family’s business, Akutee.

Arriving in a dark red sari, Khan completed her ensemble with a Titan Nebula watch. The event, which was a joint venture between Akutee and Nebula by Titan, perfectly captured the fusion of classic and modern design.

Inspired by the grace, elegance, and classic style of the women in Ghatge’s family, Akutee is a loving homage to them. The company is well-known for its elaborate details, luxurious materials, and hand-painted clothing that is inspired by the women in Ghatge’s family tree.

Ghatge concluded her voyage by pointing out that fashion is more than simply flashy clothes. She saw that the ladies in her family, such as her mother Urmila Ghatge, wore chiffon saris, chanderis, and basic kotas, accessorized with tastefully coordinated glass bangles and plain jewelry. This finds its way into the designs.

Urmila, who started her creative career at the age of sixteen, infused her works with a love of the natural world, as seen by the hand-painted flower designs that decorated her clothing. Her unique style was born out of these motifs. Urmila ensured the continuance of this great craftsmanship by mentoring a number of young artists in addition to sharing her artistic talent.

The star teased her followers with interesting news regarding her movie endeavors in addition to her design endeavors. Hinting to her budding career as a filmmaker, the actor has completed the screenplay and purchased the rights to a novel, with the intention of releasing it shortly.
