Redken, a popular international brand of professional haircare, has entered the Indian market. Select Redken salons, the multi-brand beauty portal Nykaa, as well as a future flagship in Mumbai will all carry Redken’s hair colours and treatments.

According to D.P. Sharma, director of L’Oréal India’s professional goods division, “the number of young, affluent consumers in India has significantly increased in recent years.” These customers are extremely individualistic, exploratory, and eager to spend money on specialty goods and services that are best suited to their own requirements. We believe that now is the ideal time to introduce a global brand like Redken to India, which provides this advanced cohort with a performance-driven, comprehensive portfolio.

Florian Hurel, a businessman and hairstylist, has been selected by Redken as its pro ambassador for India. Hurel will shortly open his first salon, Florian Hurel Hair Couture, in South Mumbai in collaboration with Redken Walkeshwar. The shop will serve as Redken’s first Indian flagship and sell its products and services.

As the Pro Ambassador for Redken India, Hurel remarked, “I am thrilled to join a brand where creativity knows no bounds.” “I look forward to elevating professional hair experiences in collaboration with Redken, from cutting-edge trends to hair perfection.”

Over 60 years ago, businesswoman Paula Kent established Redken in the US. All products are tested by salon specialists, and the brand has its headquarters in New York City.
