Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Debut in India with AI-Powered Features

Meta Platforms, Inc. and EssilorLuxottica have launched the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in India, combining cutting-edge technology with iconic design. These next-generation glasses are designed for seamless hands-free functionality, including high-resolution media capture, audio playback, livestreaming, and on-the-go AI assistance.

Key features include:

  • 12 MP ultrawide camera for crisp photos and immersive 1080p vertical video.

  • Discreet open-ear speakers with noise suppression and enhanced bass for clear audio while staying aware of surroundings.

  • Five microphones to support hands-free calls, music control, and ambient awareness.

Content creators can livestream directly to Instagram and Facebook via a POV (point-of-view) camera, toggling between glasses and phone for up to 30 minutes.

With Meta AI, users can activate functions via “Hey Meta” to:

  • Get local recommendations

  • Translate languages (live translation rolling out soon in India)

  • Identify landmarks

  • Receive personalized content suggestions

The AI continues to improve via regular software updates, even offering offline translation through downloadable language packs.

Style meets tech in this line, available in classic Wayfarer styles and the new Skyler frame in various colors and lens types—prescription, polarized, clear, or Transitions®. Each pair comes with a sleek charging case and can be managed via the Meta View app, which supports easy content editing, sharing, and multi-glasses pairing.

Pricing starts at ₹29,900, with pre-orders open from May 13 at india.ray-ban.com and general availability beginning May 19 at Ray-Ban stores and leading eyewear retailers across India.
