Radley London, the premium bags brand, has successfully navigated the challenges of the Christmas period, reporting a notable 4% increase in like-for-like sales during the crucial nine-week season. This positive performance extended across the brand’s own stores, concessions, and online platform, with online sales showing a robust 21% growth.

Nick Vance, the CEO of Radley London, also highlighted a 6% rise in retail sales for the first eight months of the financial year, which spans the 12 months leading up to April. Despite acknowledging the challenging market conditions, Vance expressed satisfaction with the brand’s accomplishments, emphasizing its ability to resonate with consumers seeking quality at an affordable price. The brand, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, is well-received for its premium offerings, all priced below £350.

Looking ahead, Vance anticipates numerous opportunities in 2024, although he acknowledges that challenges related to the cost of living may persist. Radley London’s resilience and performance in the face of market difficulties position it optimistically for the coming year. The company had previously reported rising sales and profits for the full year 2021-22, and the figures for 2022-23 are expected to be released soon.
