QWEEN Partners with Perfect Corp. to Launch AI-Powered Virtual Jewellery Try-On Experience
QWEEN, India’s experiential luxury jewellery brand specialising in 100% natural jewellery, has partnered with Perfect Corp., a global provider of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, to introduce a hyper-realistic 3D Virtual Try-On experience for jewellery shoppers in India.
Powered by Physically Based Rendering (PBR) technology, the solution enables customers to virtually try on QWEEN’s rings, earrings and bracelets across desktop and mobile devices. The technology is designed to accurately simulate how jewellery fits, moves, reflects light and complements different facial features and personal styles, offering an immersive digital shopping experience before making a purchase or visiting a store.
Perfect Corp., which collaborates with more than 800 global brands, including Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford Fashion and REZA, brings advanced rendering capabilities that recreate the texture, brilliance and movement of gold, diamonds and gemstones. The platform can support up to 2,300 SKUs, allowing shoppers to better evaluate a piece’s proportions, finish and appearance beyond traditional product images.
Commenting on the collaboration, Amit Kumar, CEO and Co-Founder, QWEEN, said, “The jewellery-buying journey has traditionally offered consumers limited freedom to explore a piece independently before it is presented to them across a counter. At QWEEN, we are changing that by giving every woman greater information, control and confidence throughout the discovery process. Perfect Corp.’s experience with some of the world’s leading luxury and fashion houses gives us the confidence that it can deliver the realism, precision and sophistication expected of the QWEEN experience.”
The partnership aims to replicate the accuracy and refinement of an in-store jewellery experience in a digital environment. Given QWEEN’s extensive collection of gold, natural diamonds and coloured gemstones, the technology has been selected to faithfully reproduce subtle variations in materials, colours and craftsmanship that influence how each piece appears when worn.
Speaking about the technology, Suyash Motarwar, Co-Founder and CTPO, QWEEN, said, “Virtual Try-On is valuable only when it can represent proportion, movement, colour and material finish accurately. That realism is particularly important for QWEEN because our portfolio spans 7 colours of gold, 100% natural diamonds and a wide range of 100% natural gemstones. Perfect Corp.’s PBR-enabled technology gives us the visual precision required for luxury jewellery, while its self-service authoring capabilities give us the flexibility to scale the experience as our assortment grows.”
The Virtual Try-On feature will become part of QWEEN’s broader digital ecosystem, which also includes RFID-enabled jewellery, self-service tablets, detailed digital product information, personalised wishlists and persona-based discovery tools. Customers will be able to explore jewellery online, save their preferred selections and continue their buying journey through QWEEN’s physical stores and assisted retail touchpoints.
Highlighting the growing demand for immersive digital experiences, Alice Chang, Founder and CEO, Perfect Corp., said, “India’s jewellery market is rooted in craftsmanship, personal expression and trust, and shoppers increasingly expect digital experiences that reflect those same qualities. By combining hyper-realistic AR try-on with a scalable 3D authoring workflow, QWEEN can bring the material detail and personality of each piece to life online while retaining the speed and control needed to grow its digital assortment.”
Through this collaboration, QWEEN aims to enhance jewellery discovery by combining luxury craftsmanship with advanced digital technologies, giving consumers greater flexibility, personalisation and confidence throughout their purchasing journey.
