PUMA has appointed Ramprasad Sridharan, 49, as the new Managing Director of PUMA India. He will take charge in December 2025 and report to PUMA Chief Commercial Officer Matthias Bäumer.

Sridharan has over 25 years of experience in brand building across the Asia Pacific region. He has worked extensively on digital growth and commercial strategy. Most recently, he served as the CEO and Managing Director at United Colors of Benetton India, where he led major transformation projects.

Before Benetton, he held senior leadership positions at Clarks and Reebok India. Throughout his career, he has focused on commercial strategy, leadership development, organizational growth, and high-performance culture.

“Ram is a highly experienced leader with a strong track record in the fashion and footwear industry. He brings deep retail expertise to PUMA and will strengthen our operations in India, which is one of our key markets,” said Matthias Bäumer. He added that Sridharan’s background will help accelerate PUMA India’s growth and support the company’s global priorities.

Sridharan will replace Karthik Balagopalan, who has decided to pursue new opportunities. Bäumer thanked Karthik for his long contribution to PUMA and wished him success in his next chapter.
