International clothing retailer Primark, known for offering quality fashion at affordable prices, is set to make its mark in Texas. The brand, with plans to open in McAllen and El Paso, has signed leases at La Plaza Mall and Cielo Vista Mall, marking its entry into the Texan market.
Each expansive store, spanning over 37,000 square feet, will introduce “Primania” to Texas shoppers, providing a blend of the latest fashion trends, family essentials, homewares, and beauty products—all at the budget-friendly prices cherished by US customers.
With a goal to open 60 stores in the US by 2026, Primark sees great potential in the southern US, particularly Texas. Kevin Tulip, President of Primark US, expressed excitement about bringing affordable fashion, beauty, and accessories to a new region. The expansion aligns with Primark’s strategy to cater to diverse communities, including those in New Mexico and Mexico.
To support its growth in southern states, Primark plans to open a new distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida. Jerod Dinkin, Head of Real Estate at Primark, emphasized the strategic choice of Texas, citing its population size, demographic, shopper behavior, and robust mall presence.
Primark is not only expanding its physical presence but is also keen on building a strong team in Texas. The company is actively recruiting for various roles, emphasizing its commitment to local employment opportunities.
Beyond the wide range of offerings for the entire family, Primark is known for exciting collaborations globally. Some of the popular collections with US shoppers include the Rita Ora X Primark fashion line, Disney range starting at $5, and NBA gear with prices beginning at $14.
Primark’s website provides customers with the convenience of browsing its product offerings and checking local store availability. The brand is actively engaging with shoppers through email communications, allowing them to stay updated on product launches, style inspiration, store openings, and more.
Founded in Ireland in 1969, Primark has grown to become an international fashion retailer with a focus on affordability and inclusivity. With over 400 stores globally, the company aims to reach 530 stores by the end of 2026. Primark is also committed to sustainable practices, aiming for all its clothes to be made from recycled or sustainably sourced materials by 2030, among other environmental and social initiatives.
