The School of Fashion and Textiles at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU SFT) hosted its highly anticipated PolyU Fashion Show 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcasing the creative vision of 24 graduating students.

Featuring 88 outfits across diverse categories such as casual wear, evening wear, lingerie, and activewear, the show blended traditional craftsmanship with modern technology like laser engraving and knitting innovation. Designs explored cultural identities and social ideologies, reflecting a rich spectrum of thought and aesthetics.

Attended by nearly 1,600 industry professionals and streamed by over 20,000 global viewers, the event underscored PolyU SFT’s growing impact on the Hong Kong fashion landscape. Students from the BA (Hons) Scheme in Fashion and Textiles showcased collections that challenged norms and demonstrated readiness for industry integration.

Prof. Erin Cho, Dean of PolyU SFT, emphasized the university’s role in shaping future-ready designers who integrate creativity with technological fluency. “These collections interrogate, reimagine and redefine the zeitgeist,” she said.

Six industry-supported awards were presented to outstanding students. The Consinee Grand Award went to Xu Lulu, for “Embodied Perception,” a knitwear collection fusing tactile experimentation and advanced textile methods. The HKIAIA Overall Grand Award was won by Wong Wai Kit, whose collection “The First Light” captured the emotional shift from night to dawn.

Judging panels included respected designers, fashion educators, and alumni from leading fashion houses and associations, strengthening the student-industry connection and highlighting PolyU’s role in nurturing industry-ready talent.

With continued support from sponsors like Consinee Group and HKIAIA, the show reaffirmed PolyU SFT’s leadership in integrating design, culture, and innovation in fashion education.
