The Lepli collection, designed by Kensaku Oshiro, expands with the introduction of two new seating options: a chair and a compact armchair. Drawing inspiration from the female silhouette, the design is defined by a cinched waist, sartorial top-stitched seams and soft pin-tucks, seamlessly blending fashion sensibilities with Poltrona Frau’s renowned craftsmanship.
This expansion reflects Poltrona Frau’s philosophy of reinterpreting strong design ideas rather than pursuing constant novelty. The Lepli family evolves organically, demonstrating how enduring design can adapt over time while retaining its timeless appeal. The new chair and small armchair are available in fixed, swivel, or wheeled versions, complementing the existing indoor and outdoor stool, bench and pouf within The Five Seasons Collection.

Kensaku Oshiro’s concept fully embodies this vision, merging Poltrona Frau’s iconic decorative language with fashion-inspired detailing. The design emphasises soft, enveloping curves shaped by a slender belt-like detail at the waist, while piped or top-stitched seams and soufflé-soft pin-tucks enhance the refined, sculptural form.
Both the chair and armchair feature a padded, inclined backrest that wraps around the seat, creating an inviting, cocoon-like comfort. The bold, barrel-shaped monobloc base tapers where it meets the upper seat and is highlighted by a decorative leather band, resulting in a compact yet elegant tub chair defined by balanced proportions, refined detailing and sophisticated colour combinations.
Upholstery options include full Pelle Frau® leather in ColorSphere, Nest or Soulful variants (all Impact Less), fully woven fabric with a leather band, or a mixed finish combining fabric on the seat and inner backrest with leather on the exterior. When upholstered entirely in Pelle Frau® leather, the decorative band can match the main colour or contrast for added visual interest.
Structurally, the seat and base are crafted from birch plywood, with the backrest in Polimex and poplar plywood. Padding consists of polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. For enhanced functionality, both models can be specified with a fixed base, a 360° swivel return mechanism that resets automatically, or concealed wheels integrated discreetly beneath the base for effortless mobility.
