Pearl Academy, a fashion design institute, collaborated with Fashion Week & the City to host a runway presentation highlighting select alumni during London Fashion Week in the UK. The fashion exhibition took place at St John’s Church in London’s Hyde Park.

APN News stated that on September 14, Pearl Academy exhibited collections by five of its alumni who were chosen for their distinct design techniques. Swidhi Arora, Manit Pal Singh of Rasook, Sakshi Khetterpal, Saloni Arora of Label Muslin, and Shubh Goyal of Fierce London all showcased their collections to a group of media members and fashion industry figures.

“Pearl Academy proudly presents its exceptional alumni as they take center stage at London Fashion Week,” the school stated on Facebook ahead of the fashion event. “On September 14, 2024, watch their creativity unfold on one of the world’s most prestigious platforms.” Stay tuned as they revolutionize the runway and show off their incredible designs!”

Sakshi Khetterpal, an eponymous designer and Pearl Academy alumnus, showcased a variety of her nature-inspired womenswear creations on the runway. With shimmering accents and delicate hand embellishments, the collection was both ethereal and tactile. Rasook featured a collection of men’s wedding wear on the catwalk that blended tradition and contemporary, and each designer presented their own interpretation of Indian fashion.

“We are proud of our five distinguished alumni who showcased their work at London Fashion Week,” Pearl Academy’s president, Aditi Srivastava, told ANP News. “This achievement demonstrates the tradition of quality and creative rigor cultivated at Pearl Academy. It demonstrates our continuous commitment to developing talent that crosses boundaries, and we are certain that they exemplify the integrity and genius that distinguish our institution.”
