Oriflame Partners with Akums for Long-Term Manufacturing in India
Swedish beauty and wellbeing brand Oriflame has announced a long-term strategic manufacturing partnership with Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited, under which its manufacturing operations in India will be transferred to Pure and Cure Healthcare Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Akums.
The proposed transaction includes Oriflame India’s manufacturing facilities in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
As part of the agreement, Oriflame and Akums will enter into a long-term manufacturing and supply partnership, with Akums continuing to manufacture Oriflame products while maintaining the company’s quality standards and ensuring uninterrupted product supply.
India continues to be a strategic market for Oriflame, which has operated in the country for more than three decades. The company said it will continue expanding its social selling business through its nationwide network of Beauty Entrepreneurs.
The move forms part of Oriflame’s broader strategy to optimise its global operations and sourcing footprint while strengthening operational flexibility, supply resilience and manufacturing efficiency.

The company confirmed that employees at the manufacturing facilities will be offered continued employment with the new owner under the same terms and conditions.
Oriflame also clarified that its commercial operations, Beauty Entrepreneur network, trademarks and all customer-facing activities in India will continue to be managed by Oriflame India Private Limited and are not part of the proposed transaction.
